1. How did you train and get prepare for Aquathlon ORIGIN at this current situation (having social distancing measures in place)?
Not easy to train with all these restrictions but my APS team-mates regularly drop me behind on every sprint or climb, to make sure that there is social distancing between them and me. I have not swam in open water in a long time – looking forward to it!
2. Due to the rolling start, the Aquathlon format is very much like a time trial format. Does this change your race strategy? How or why not? What is your target?
In a short race the strategy is anyway to go all out from start to finish but with a time trial format it will be hard not having any reference point. I will also miss my friends Colin and Arnaud who are usually amongst those “reference points” in these races.
3. What are you looking forward to for this upcoming Aquathlon ORIGIN event?
Well obviously I am looking forward to racing again, 13 months after my last competition!
